Unlike TD games, King's Blood has laws that auto-battle systems don't apply to. Instead, it uses the same mechanic as an auto-battlers game. The player will have access to four unique heroes in King's Blood that help with most battles. The skills each of these people possess are invaluable in emergency situations. They can alter the course of a conflict thanks to your usage. Players can use two different methods to deploy power in the game. They can summon troops of different types that impact how they approach a battle. This also determines the number and length of battles each player can initiate. Calvary is a cavalry unit that has powerful offensive capabilities but costs a lot to produce. It requires little resources and can fight long and hard. Infantry is a unit that has stamina, cost low resources and takes little time to create.

Besides a few powerful soldiers such as archer, catapult and spearman, the game features additional combat units. These include a wizard, fighter and cleric. One of the game's second mechanisms is the ability to shift the positions of any units you summon. This is done via a drag-and-drop interface on their respective avatars in the bottom right corner of the screen. When changing battle positions, players can click on an avatar and drag them to where they want them to fight next. The vertical lines of warriors are useful for attacking enemies in a strategic formation. Seeing how strong their warriors are gives competitors an edge. Furthermore, possessing these beings is a huge advantage. Training your army to increase its strength is necessary when playing as the commander. This is because strength in the army still depends on the commander. The bottom-right corner of the screen represents the commands for delay, attack, and defense. Evolving match situations call for launching an offensive strike against the enemy or defending against the enemy to preserve force. In some cases, abandoning a fight may be a prudent decision. Making even the smallest misstep places your troops in danger. Even minor mistakes lead to soldiers scattering and losing their lives. Giving orders randomly or meaninglessly is ineffective. Instead, formulate key strategies through each action by thinking.

The game features 4 main protagonists, each with their own unique history and storyline. Additionally, players can choose to create their own character at will. They can then use this character to fight enemies in battle. Every combat encounter becomes more challenging thanks to the hero possessing a special power beyond others.
