This is because finding the oyster shell is quick and easy, while finding a large scroll would take time, money and precious resources away from the mission. Instead, one should gather jewelry and pearls to help on the next island mission. In addition to basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter, you need to remember three more things to develop a rich city. With all the in-game bonuses, characteristics and free time elements they provide, utilize the island’s land resources to increase productivity. Additionally, building adjacent houses maximizes the land space saved. The more often you visit the island, the more time you’ll save by only building a few types of houses with similar money cycles.

You must purchase real estate before building houses or malls. You need to clear trees and grass from the land so you can build your establishments. Doing so will increase your profits as you trade tokens for real money. Since the city grows older and more populous, purchasing land quickly becomes necessary. Doing so with gold instead of dollars helps you bypass high prices. Remember to always keep the token, as it's the only way to influence other people's happiness. To maximize profits, you need to invest heavily in commercial services, such as tourism or restaurants. This helps you avoid the phenomenon of poverty by building many buildings.
